In the series Vergissmeinnicht I went back to my hometown Cottbus which is located in the east of germany. I wanted to know how it feels like to live in a city which has been known for its conflict, and tried to focus on the outer parts of it. I spoke to lots of people, wanted to give them a voice, and most importantly, understand what it feels like living here 7 years after I moved away.. The outcome was a series I keep close to me because it also made me reconnect to home again.
